Sight Specific was founded by Dror Sher and Tal Friedland Sher, a design studio integrating architecture, interiors, and custom lighting and furniture into a cohesive, experience-driven practice.
Tal holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute and brings a strong foundation in both conceptual and large-scale architectural work. She has collaborated with leading international firms, including Peter Eisenman and Herzog & de Meuron, contributing to complex, high-profile projects such as the National Library of Israel. In recent years, her work has focused on hospitality design across Israel and the United States, combining rigorous planning with a refined, material-driven approach.
Dror brings over 15 years of experience in the restaurant and bar industry, spanning concept creation, brand development, and operational management. As a founder of Port Said and the Teder group, he has been deeply involved in shaping some of Tel Aviv’s most influential hospitality venues. His work extends beyond design, focusing on building complete hospitality experiences—integrating food, music, atmosphere, and service into cohesive, commercially viable concepts.
Together, they bridge design and real-world operation, creating spaces that are not only visually compelling but also deeply functional and culturally resonant.
At Sight Specific, the studio’s approach is rooted in layering history with contemporary intervention—curating pieces from different eras and combining them with custom-designed elements to form environments that feel rich, authentic, and timeless. Each project is conceived as a complete narrative, aiming to create places that feel as though they have always existed.
